Wengfu Australia is a member of the Fertiliser Industry Federation of Australia (FIFA) and the Australian Fertiliser Services Association (AFSA) and abides by the Laws, rules and guidelines governing the fertiliser industry in Australia.
Wengfu Australia, through it's membership of FIFA, invests in promoting good farming practices through the Fertcare program. The program is targeted at reducing unwanted effects of fertilisers caused by application of products in inappropriate ways, at inappropriate rates and in inappropriate environments.
For instance, good farm practices can minimise the contribution which nitrogen from fertilisers can have to greenhouse gas emissions through denitrification and the release of nitrous oxide from farmland. Establishment and understanding of these practices are covered in the Fertcare program.
Wengfu Australia, as an active member of FIFA, is also involved with government and farmer organisations in Australia in developing and implementing policies that reduce the risk of nutrients entering waterways and improve their efficiency of use by farmers.
Fertcare also certifies spreading machinery and accredits and audits advisers who provide detailed advice based on soil and plant testing. Fertcare ensures that the industry provides good advice to customers that takes account of environmental risk management as well as productivity outcomes.
Wengfu Australia staff are Fertcare-accredited at the level appropriate to their position.
As a responsible corporate citizen, Wengfu Australia subscribes to the concepts of sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility.
